Why digital access matters
Digital NHS services help you access care more quickly and conveniently. For example, you can order prescriptions without visiting your GP practice or view test results without waiting for a phone call.
However, the NHS is committed to making sure everyone can access care. Therefore, digital support and non-digital options will always remain available.
Libraries play an important role in making sure no one is left behind.
Find your local library
You can find your nearest library and learn about available support by visiting the Essex County Council libraries website.
Library staff will be happy to help you access NHS services and improve your digital skills.
Alternative ways to access NHS services
If you prefer not to use digital services, you can still:
- Contact your GP practice by phone
- Visit your GP practice in person
- Speak to NHS staff directly
The NHS will continue to provide services in ways that meet your needs.
