Depending on your needs, we can help you:
- Manage your health at work – Explore ways to balance your health and wellbeing with the demands of your job.
- Explore workplace adjustments – Identify changes to your duties, working hours or working environment that could make things easier.
- Build your confidence – Talk through concerns about your health, your job or your ability to continue working.
- Plan your next steps – Develop a personalised plan to help you manage challenges and stay in employment.
- Find additional support – Connect with health, wellbeing and other local services that could help.
Our aim is to help you find practical solutions that work for you and your circumstances.

- have a disability, physical or mental health condition, or another health-related issue affecting their ability to work
- would like support to remain in work, return following sickness absence, or start or move towards work
People may be employed, self-employed, on sickness absence, recently unemployed or economically inactive.
Is WorkWell right for me?
WorkWell could help if you’re currently employed but your health or disability is making work more difficult.
For example, you might be:
- Struggling to manage a physical or mental health condition alongside your job.
- Taking time off sick or worried about needing more time away from work.
- Finding certain tasks or responsibilities increasingly difficult.
- Concerned that your health could mean having to reduce your hours or leave your job.
- Unsure what support or workplace adjustments might be available.
You don’t need to have a particular diagnosis to ask about WorkWell. What matters is how your health is affecting your ability to work.
Getting support early can help you explore your options before difficulties become more serious.
What happens when I get support?
If WorkWell is right for you, you’ll be matched with a dedicated Work and Health Coach who will work with you to understand your needs.
Together, you’ll:
- Talk about your situation – Discuss how your health is affecting your work and what you’re finding difficult.
- Agree a personal plan – Identify practical steps and support that could help you stay in employment.
- Work towards your goals – Your coach will help you put your plan into action and connect you with other services where needed.
Support usually involves six to eight sessions, depending on your individual circumstances.
Do I need to tell my employer?
You can explore support through WorkWell even if you’re unsure about discussing your health with your employer.
Your Work and Health Coach can help you consider whether a conversation with your employer might be helpful and how to approach it.
If workplace changes or adjustments could help, your coach can support you in exploring your options.
