This webpage serves as a centralised resource where you can find a range of localised toolkits designed to facilitate effective communication and outreach efforts within our local health and care community.

Each toolkit focuses on specific topics or campaigns that are priority focus areas within our local health and care system. Whether you are interested in raising awareness about different types of cancers, promoting health prevention and management, or informing the public about work happening across our system, these toolkits provide you with the materials and guidelines you need to communicate clearly and consistently.

Super Bodies is our winter health campaign, helping families across Essex keep children healthy and well and protect them from serious illness. The campaign uses a positive, family-friendly approach to provide practical information about common childhood illnesses, how to care for children at home, when to seek further help, and how vaccination can provide extra protection against flu and RSV.

Children have amazing Super Bodies that can often fight off illness, but sometimes they need a boost in winter. The flu nasal spray is a simple way to give eligible children extra protection. For mums-to-be, having recommended vaccinations during pregnancy can help give their babies’ Super Bodies a kick-start, providing protection from the moment they are born.

Toolkit asset and materials

This year, our adults flu campaign has a particular focus on adults aged under 65 who are in a clinical risk group. Uptake in this group has historically been lower than among older adults, even though a long-term health condition can increase the risk of serious illness from flu.

The campaign will give particular attention to people living with:

  • respiratory disease, including some people with asthma
  • and people with conditions such as COPD
  • heart or circulatory disease
  • kidney disease
  • liver disease

Toolkit assets

The Get the Care You Need Quicker campaign helps people across Essex find the right care for their needs. It highlights the support available through GP practice teams, community pharmacies and the NHS App, helping people understand their options and access care sooner.

The campaign toolkit includes key information about the campaign and ready-to-use posts for social media.

National campaign toolkits

Communication toolkits for national campaigns can be accessed via the Department for Health and Social Care’s Campaign Resource Centre (opens in a new window). This is the digital platform for government health improvement campaigns and resources.

Campaigns uploaded to the CRC have either been developed by the national NHS campaigns team, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) or the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).
