Samantha Goldberg is the Executive Director of Commissioning at NHS Essex Integrated Care Board.
Sam leads the planning and commissioning of a range of health services across Essex. She works with partners to ensure services meet the needs of local people and provide high-quality care.
Before joining NHS Essex, Sam was Executive Director of Performance and Planning at NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board. She also served as System Director for Urgent and Emergency Care, leading programmes to improve services and patient care across the region.
Sam has extensive experience in health and care services. Throughout her career, she has led work to improve performance, plan services and strengthen collaboration between organisations. She is passionate about improving care and achieving better outcomes for local communities.
At NHS Essex, Sam is responsible for mental health commissioning, hospital commissioning, the System Coordination Centre, and emergency preparedness and response.
She works closely with health and care partners across Essex to improve services, reduce health inequalities and help people get the care and support they need.
