Jennifer Kearton is the Executive Director of Finance and Commercial at NHS Essex Integrated Care Board.
Jennifer leads finance, contracting and estates for NHS Essex. She helps ensure that NHS resources are used effectively to support high-quality health and care services for local people.
She has worked in NHS finance for more than 20 years and has extensive experience across a range of healthcare organisations. Before joining NHS Essex, Jennifer was Executive Chief Finance Officer at NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board, where she led financial planning and supported organisations to work together across the health and care system.
Jennifer joined the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme in 2003 and began her career in mid Essex. She trained and qualified locally, working in a range of finance roles that included costing, income management and service improvement.
Before returning to Essex, Jennifer held senior finance leadership roles in Suffolk and north east Essex. She also worked at regional and national level, including with the Department of Health.
Jennifer is passionate about making the best use of NHS resources and believes that organisations achieve better results when they work together. Throughout her career, she has championed collaboration, continuous improvement and delivering value for patients and communities.
