Your right to choose your care provider
Under the NHS Right to Choose, patients have the legal right to choose who provides their Autism or ADHD care.
NHS Essex ICB has commissioned the providers listed above to support patient choice while ensuring services are:
- safe and clinically effective
- joined up with local NHS services
- aligned with Essex care pathways
Choosing a provider from this approved network helps ensure your care is coordinated, high quality and supported locally.
Choosing a provider outside the local network
Patients can choose a different provider under the NHS Right to Choose. However, it is the patient’s responsibility to:
- check what services the provider offers
- confirm whether treatment (such as medication) is included
- check if the provider will enter into shared care agreements with GPs and GP Federations
Some providers only offer assessment and diagnosis, which may mean you need a further referral for treatment.
