A new Essex GP surgery has showcased its modern facilities to guests, including Braintree MP James Cleverly.
Halstead Heights Clinic on Hedingham Road opened its doors last month in the refurbished x-ray block at Halstead Hospital.
A new branch surgery of Elizabeth Courtauld Practice in Halstead, the surgery has three new consulting rooms, one treatment room, interview and virtual consulting room, and public areas including waiting rooms and reception.
Braintree MP James Cleverly and Councillor Gabrielle Spray were among the guests invited to tour the new building and see the clinical space on offer to Halstead residents.
Halstead Heights GP surgery is a fantastic example of what partnership working can achieve. NHS Essex, NHS Property Services, Braintree District Council and the League of Friends of Halstead Hospital have all come together to deliver a brand new, state of the art facility right here in the community. The real winner from all of this is the residents of Halstead, who now have access to outstanding modern healthcare in a beautiful heritage Edwardian building. This is exactly how community health services should be delivered.

It was great to visit the new facilities and see how they are supporting patients locally. This is a clear example of how developer contributions can be reinvested to expand healthcare services in our district. The newly renovated space will enable the practice to accommodate more clinical staff, helping the practice deliver more appointments for patients.
As well as GP appointments, registered patients will have access to a range of services, including blood tests, vaccinations and minor surgery through pre-booked appointments only.
