Netty Cracknell is a pharmacist and Cancer Clinical Lead for NHS Essex. She also works at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust as Principal Pharmacist for Cancer Services. In this role, she leads cancer pharmacy teams and helps make sure cancer medicines are used safely and effectively.
Netty has more than 22 years of experience in cancer pharmacy. She has worked in the NHS and the private sector and has held leadership roles in the UK and around the world. She was President of the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners and co-chaired the UK Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy Board. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pharmacy and a Fellow of the British Oncology Pharmacy Association.
Netty is passionate about improving care for people living with and beyond cancer. She works to make services more joined-up and focused on patients’ needs. She supports the NHS aim to provide more care closer to home and works with GPs, community pharmacists, and other healthcare staff to help people get treatment and support in their local area.
Her interests include digital innovation, medicines safety, and helping staff learn and develop. She works to bring organisations together and supports healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, fair cancer care for all.
