Paul has been Chief Executive of Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) since September 2020. He has many years of experience in senior NHS leadership and is committed to improving services by working closely with partners across health and care.
Before joining EPUT, Paul was Chief Financial Officer at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Alongside this role, he helped lead work to improve how organisations worked together across the local health and care system.
Earlier in his career, Paul was Executive Director of Finance, Strategy and Performance at Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust. He was responsible for finance, long-term planning, partnerships, information and digital services.
Paul has also held senior leadership roles at the East of England Ambulance Service and Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust. This has given him experience across hospital, community and ambulance services.
Paul believes that strong partnerships are key to improving health and care. He is committed to designing and delivering services that meet people’s needs and improve outcomes for patients, families and local communities.
