Dr Ian Perry became the GP and Primary Care Partner Member for NHS Essex in May 2026.
He studied medicine at Imperial College School of Medicine and trained to become a GP at West Middlesex University Hospital. In 2013, he completed extra training in healthcare management and planning.
Dr Perry is a GP Partner at Maynard Court Surgery in Waltham Abbey and Nazeing Valley Health Centre. He enjoys caring for patients and helping to improve local GP services.
He was chosen by local GPs in Epping Forest to represent them on the West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Board. He also led work to improve primary care, with a focus on helping older people, supporting people living with frailty, improving end of life care, making sure medicines are used safely, and using technology to improve health services.
