Dr Sara Astbury is a GP Partner and GP Trainer in west Essex. She has worked as a Macmillan GP since 2015 and is a Primary Care Cancer Lead.
Sara works with GP practices and hospital teams to help improve cancer care. She supports services to work together so people receive high-quality care and support. Her work includes education, service improvement and working with healthcare professionals to help find cancer earlier and improve treatment.
A key focus of Sara’s work is improving the experience of people living with cancer. She is passionate about joined-up care and helping services work well together. This helps make sure people feel supported throughout their care and treatment.
