Dr Neha Issar-Brown is a Non-Executive Member of NHS Essex and Chair of the System Quality Committee.
Neha is the Chief Executive Officer of the British Pharmacological Society. The organisation supports research, education and the safe use of medicines around the world. She is also Managing Director of BPS Assessment, which helps healthcare professionals develop safe prescribing skills.
Neha has worked in health, science and public policy for more than 20 years. During her career, she has held senior leadership roles in public, private and charity organisations in many different countries. She has experience of improving health services, supporting research and using evidence to help people live healthier lives.
Alongside her executive roles, Neha has served as a board member, chair, advisor and trustee for organisations in healthcare, education and the arts. She has helped shape work on quality, fairness, leadership and service improvement.
Neha brings a strong understanding of healthcare, research and innovation, as well as experience of working with communities to improve health and wellbeing.
